AVIAN PROTECT TEN (100 tablets) is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial effective in the control of avian mycoplasmosis (chronic respiratory disease), in salmonellosis, colibacillosis, secondary microbial infections in birds (chicken, turkey and pigeon).

Tilosin tartrate 6.4 mg, Erythromycin thiocyanate 1.6 mg, Neomycin sulfate 10 mg.

Excipients

Vitamin-mineral substrate: Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, Vitamin B1, D-Pantothenic Acid, Biotin, Vitamin C, Magnesium Sulfate, Zinc Sulphate, Methionine, Lactose, Starch, PVPK 30, Aerosil, Talc, Avicel and magnesium stearate.

Directions

The product is effective in combating avian mycoplasmosis (chronic respiratory disease), in salmonellosis, colibacillosis, secondary microbial infections.

DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

The product is administered individually to birds in the following doses:

The product can be administered from the first week of life, in a dose of ¼ tablet / chicken and the third week of life, with 1/2 tablet / chicken / day, for 3 consecutive days.

In adult birds, 1 tablet / kg live weight / day is recommended for 3 consecutive days.

Depending on the nature of the disease, the product can be administered in the same doses for 5-7 consecutive days.

ADVICE ON CORRECT ADMINISTRATION

The weight of the animals must be assessed correctly. Do not take with other antibiotics.

WAITING TIME

Meat and organs 28 days.

Eggs 7 days.

SPECIAL STORAGE PRECAUTIONS

Keep out of reach of children. Store below 25 ºC in the original package.

Do not use after the expiry date which is stated on the label.

Shelf life after first opening the immediate packaging: 6 months.

SPECIAL WARNINGS

In case of accidental ingestion of the product or allergies caused by skin contact, seek medical advice immediately and show the package leaflet or the label to the physician. Protective equipment must be worn when handling the veterinary medicinal product.

Use of the product should be based on susceptibility testing of bacteria isolated from animals. If this is not possible, the therapy will need to be based on epidemiological information regarding susceptibility to the target bacteria.

National and regional antimicrobial policies should be considered when using the product.

Improper use of the product according to the instructions in the SPC may increase the prevalence of bacteria resistant to the active substances and may decrease the effectiveness of the treatment due to the possibility of cross-resistance.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF UNUSED PRODUCT OR WASTE MATERIALS, IF ANY

Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste.

Ask your veterinarian for information on how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures contribute to the protection of the environment.

The treated birds will be kept in shelters throughout the treatment, and the collected manure will not be used to fertilize the soil.
